April Fool's Dog Pile and Other Assorted Odds and Ends...
Ok, Joanne...you asked for it! Here's Miss Greta's most recent picture
and then a little shot of the Standard Operating Procedure in our home.
Every time I see this, it makes me laugh. Dogs on the furniture? Yeah...I kind of don't care. There's more in life to worry about than that, right...and it's leather, so it wipes down.
I just have to give a shout out to Moose Boob and the Towel Squirrel. You know who you are. I love ya, I had a great time...can't wait to do it again. In a similar vein, it's Lauren's (aka LuLu) 9th birthday today. Happy Birthday, Snugglebuns!!! Yup, a little April Fool. Probably the cutest one I know. I definitely thought her mom was playing a prank on me the day she called to say she was in labor...guess I was the fool, huh? Nine years ago and I still remember it like it was yesterday. I don't have any recent pictures, or I'd share one. I think we're going to fix that soon, though. ;)
What else is going on? I'm just blogging in procrastination. I've got projects piling up around and me and I keep finding other things to keep me busy. Go figure, right? I'd feel better if I just did them. Sheesh.
Today's mysterious and deep thought provoking question (I enjoyed your last answers, btw): Would you rather be high above the ground or deep below the ground and what reason would take you to either?

You are cracking me up! Yes, it's Lulu's birthday and she was so funny this morning. Just to prove that she has a sense of humor. She was telling me that her tummy hurt today. Being the mom that I am, I was drilling her with questions about where it hurt, what kind of hurt, etc. and so she came to the conclusion that maybe it's just because she turned 9 today that her tummy hurt! Crazy kid! My answer for today's question: high above the ground. That way I can keep my eye on everyone down below. I can strike them with lightening if I had to, or I can open the curtins (sky) and let the sunshine down. I would have all the control! Happy April Fools Day everyone!

Love the dogs in the chair. I've never much cared either, it's all about living life.
Growing up with a dad that worked for the airlines and as I am about to marry a pilot, I think my love affair with flight was destiny. Something about sky and clouds and great expanse intrigues me. Had life been a little different I probably would have learned how to fly myself ... Under scares the tar out of me.

She's so cute! :) And I LOVE the dog pile photo...
I think I'd be up high - although I kinda don't like heights. Being under the ground would make me feel closed in...
Seriously - I love to climb up things, but absolutely hate coming down - always feel like I'm going to "fall" down. There's this kid's place (kinda a McD's playland on steriods) that we go to and you climb was up like 2 stories and crawl around up there. I "hate" it! Always feel like something's going to break and we'll all come crashing down! Ugh!
Have a great weekend, Jen! :)

High above. My reason is based entirely on lighting. Without light I could get cranky and sad. Well, I think I would. I would want to live in one of those decked out tree houses that they show on HGTV. I could get into that as long as it had an elevator and a zip line.

Hapy birthday Lauren!!
OH-- I think you're enabling us to buy another dog with that sweet photo!!
The question...... man, Jenn, that's deep!
Well, I could go all spiritual on you with that--- but will give you a simple answer.... Definitely high above the ground. Just sounds so free & refreshing! Being deep below the ground sounds quite closterphobic (sp?)!!!
xoxo
